For the control of thrips and mites on banana bunches

Developed specifically for use on banana plantations, Vapona agricultural strips are pesticide impregnated plastic strips with a fumigant action that protects banana bunches from thrips and mites while they are ripening.

Thrips feed on the skin of bananas causing silvering patches that turn brown and can cover the whole fruit, with deep longitudinal cracks appearing in the skin as a result.
